Registered, Licensed Dietitian and Certified Specialist in Pediatrics
My family has a strong background in dietetics. Both my grandmother and mother were dietitians. I was aware of the profession from a young age and decided to pursue a career in the healthcare field due to my passion for taking care of others and nutritional therapy. I graduated with honors in Nutritional Sciences from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs), and later completed an intensive dietetic internship at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
I started my career at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, where I worked in various departments such as oncology, bariatrics, NICU, wound care, cardiology, traumatic brain injury, failure to thrive, vent-dependent children, outpatient healthy eating, and weight loss counseling. After working with different patient populations, I fell in love with working with pediatric patients. With over 16 years of experience, I have worked with this population at Children's Medical Center across the metroplex and Nexus Healthcare, caring for hundreds of patients and their families. This includes a one-of-a-kind intensive inpatient and outpatient feeding program, an autism inpatient program, vent-dependent children, traumatic brain injuries, diabetes, weight management, gastrointestinal and allergy disorders to name a few. Additionally, I see patients aged 0-100 years of age, part-time on a telehealth platform.
When I'm not seeing patients, I love spending time with my husband Chris, daughter Macie, and son Ford. We enjoy going to our ranch and spending time outdoors, traveling, playing games, trying new cuisines, and spending time with extended family and friends. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in any way possible.
In Him,
Alli
